This course is designed to expose students to the process of starting and running a business digitalization.
This course examines the theory and practices of promoting online technologies in start ups and existing firms. It explore sucessful frameworks, strategies, funding techniques,business models, risks, and barriers for introducing break through products and services. Students will develop business folio for articulating, evaluating, refining and pitching a new product or services offering, either as start up business plan or a new initiative at an existing firm.
This subject deals with issues such as inflation, unemployment, economic growth, the balance of payment, and international trade. The course covers a range of topics, including the measurement of macroeconomic variables, the determinants of aggregate demand and supply, the role of government and central banks in stabilizing the economy, the impact of international trade and exchange rates, and the challenges of achieving sustainable and inclusive economic growth. The course aims to provide students with the tools to analyze and interpret macroeconomic data, understand policy debates, and evaluate the potential impacts of
macroeconomic policies on the economy and society.
This course offers a comprehensive lesson in technical writing as well as communication skills needed by the students in their future career. It prepares the students to write resume, job application letter and report. In addition, it will prepare the students for interview and presentation.
This module covers major aspects of main engineering materials i.e. cement, metallic, organic, and inorganic materials, with reference to their compositions, properties, modification of some of their properties with respect to environmental effects and their behaviours at service. the course also covers the concepts of stress and strains of materials, calculation of geometrical properties of a cross section, analyzing the shear force and bending moments for statically determinate beams, and torsion of circular shafts.
This module covers wide range of topics from the basic practice in safety for construction industry to the planning and managing a relevant safety program for a construction project. The students will be able to learn more on developing an effective safety management and produce Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety report related to field work study.
